oh where was i?

oh ya i was supposed to post some pics from my camping trip w shazhu last month!

haha before i start i wld like to announce tt he was the "head of the staging crew" cum "head of housekeeping committee" for the event, n i was the "head of food-and-beverage committee" cum "games-and-entertainment committee" cum "first-aider" for the event, haha he insisted tt he was the main Organizer-in-charge for the event but i denied. lol. ok we were bo liao.

anyway i messed up the trip a little cos i was late for meeting sha zhu on the 1st day, when we were supposed to have Mac breakfast first before we set off, but i was late! so there goes our Mac breakfast n shazhu was rather disappointed w me...next, i forgot to bring the crabsticks for BBQ, and the mushrooms too! he was supposed to cook oyster mushrooms for our dinner! then he was rather mad at me...lol, i was realli a clumsy coconut head, always forgetting tis n tt...haha but i made up for my mistake by rushing to the nearest supermart to buy the mushrooms( he alrd helped to buy the crabsticks while he bought mineral water for our trip)

so we had nasi lemak instead, n headed off for East Coast! :) well, it was a walk tt tested our strength n determination cos we had to alight at the busstop n walked all the way to section D of East Coast park where we pitch our tent, carrying tons of food n 3 litres of water n our tent etc...n the sun was scorching hot! nevertheless we found a nice good spot near the sea to pitch our tent, wat a view! :) here's some pics :

our tent is right behind these coconut trees, facing the sea! haha of cos we made sure tt there were no coconuts on the trees before we pitch the tent...

its getting abit cloudy anyway, though it was oven-hot inside the tent! we were sweating like baked chicken while we were inside "decorating" our tent, n sha zhu insisted tt we shld hang his towel under the window so tt they look like curtains.. -___________-

here's our kitchen corner! where we placed our food n water n erh...whose leg is this?!?! :D

our games n relaxation corner! where i placed my doggie pillow n his sofa pillow n a Pig FM radio n some games to play...n his "curtains" of cos...here's a better view without the curtains..lol

as i have mentioned, its super sizzling hot inside the tent, so we hung a small portable fan at the ceiling of the tent, plus a small lamp to prepare for the nite...


well we were supposed to have a sumptuous feast for our BBQ, mushrooms, seafood n hotdogs n crabsticks n garlic bread..but 天不作美, it was all clear n sunny when we started our BBQ, but in the middle of our cooking, it started to rain cats n dogs :( its was realli quite a storm, it happened when sha zhu was cooking his 2nd round of mushrooms halfway n it started to drizzle, so we had to packed all the cooked food n hid them in our tent before the rain ruin our dinner, but there wasnt enough time for us to pack the charcoal, trays n the cooking tin and other stuff, we had to hide in the tent before the big fat rain drops hit our butts...haha backtrack abit, sha zhu was cooking for the 1st time in his life for me!! hahaha...i m realli fortunate :))))))))

oh yar can i add in sth else, did i mention tt our tent is not TOTALLY 100% water proof?? the rain actually came in during the storm, from the side of our tent, n when the super strong wind blew, it was bent like erh, from a equilateral triangular shape to a right angle triangle, can u imagine??!! n i thot we are goin to lose our roof for the night..

it is aft the storm, anyway it onli onli lasted for an 1hr i think, while we had dinner in the tent..we were left w the remainin mushrooms, hotdogs n crabstick...most of the seafood were not cooked well enough cos of the storm, which was super sad, our BBQ was nt successful in the end, stupid weather... :((((((((((((

but our dinner was full full n oishii ne, haha cos i prepare de ma...*proud look*
n tis is an aesthetic scenary of the beach aft the storm...

the nigth was realli pretty too n realli v windy n shiok shiok. haha. all the ships n ferries floating on the sea had their lights turned on, n me n sha zhu were lookin at the stars n refering them to the star map tt sha zhu printed from online..haha takin astrology realli has a gd use in reality :)))) n we spotted a funny phenomenon! nw then i knew tt in May the moon does not appear on east coast beach at 7 plus or 8, its onli til 8plus near 9 tt it rises from the horizon!! haha cos we were analysing the sky i spotted a funny big yellow balloon on top of a ship n asked sha zhu if it was the DHL hot air ballon from bugis, then i realised tt frm east coast u cant see anything from bugis la, except for suntac n other skycrapers in the city area...how stupid can i be...>.< then we realised its the Moon! it rises up frm the west of the horizon slowly n during the night we could see it moving slowly across the sky, its realli cute..its a pity tt my hp hasnt gt a gd camera, if nt the yellow spot on the left side of the sky wil get clearer than tis...

we play games in the night n slept a little..haha actualli for me its a lot la, i slept for 4 hrs plus, kena scolded tt i m a pig..-__________-
hmm but sha zhu almost din sleep eh, cos the tent is way too hot for him as we close all the openings except for our back window, but tt one has gt net, so its stil as hot...
And wat's more wonderful than waking up in the mornin and find urself at the beach?? Except tt its super duper hot-like-oven sensation when i woke up..the sun was shooting its rays directly at my face despite me slping in the tent..tt was how i woke up, if nt i wil realli slp like a pig...

And of cos brushing our teeth n washing up Facing the beach!! :)))))))))))) realli felt super great n energetic...haha though its abit weird to brush our teeth n wash our face at the toilet at east coast beach, cos the sink was outside the ladies n gents, so we were brushing our teeth facing the mornin joggers n cyclists as well haha...but anyway, the beach's toilets are quite clean, another bonus point for campign at east coast...

Its a realli enjoyable trip i must say...esp tgth w sha zhu haha...thank u sha zhu, for making tis trip possible...:)))))))))))) hmm but aft camping sha zhu fell ill eh, then aft tt i fell ill, then sha zhu was saying its nt worth it if we fall ill aft camping, his father also commented abt tis :(((((((
hmm although i don wan us to get sick, but the trip is realli enjoyable n i do hope tt we can go camping again...maybe we din have enough slp during camp? or maybe the weather was too bad n the common flu virus is goin ard...
